The Portal Room

You enter a large circular room with an extremely high domed ceiling. There are pillars half-sunk into the wall at intervals. There are crystals embedded into the ceiling which give off a light making the illusion that the black marble floor is empty space with stars and nebulae...you can't help but be impressed. A note left on a pedestal just inside the entrance states the following:
"Here is my personal portal room. My one warning to you is this: once you pass through a portal, you may not be able to return. Enjoy!"

You take a closer look at the room and see the "stars" forming letters at the base of each of the portals--another nice effect of Decarthado's magic. You also see that the portals are arranged between the pillars, one between each two with no empty spaces except where the line of portals from your left ends. There must be room for at least a hundred such gates to other realms!
